When you walk to the edge of all the light you have
and take that first step into the darkness of the unknown,
you must believe that one of two things will happen:
There will be something solid for you to stand upon,
or, you will be taught how to fly. ~ Patrick Overton

Doctrine and Covenants 121:33
How long can rolling waters remain impure? What power shall stay the heavens? As well might man stretch forth his puny arm to stop the Missouri river in its decreed course, or to turn it up stream, as to hinder the Almighty from pouring down knowledge from heaven upon the heads of the Latter-day Saints.
I love this scripture because it teaches me a number of things! 1- that in order for me to become clean, I'll need a bit of tumbling! 2- No power can stop heaven from it mission, and I am part of that mission. 3- The Lord will POUR down knowledge to me! fabulous!
also Mosiah 4:26 And now, for the sake of these things which I have spoken unto you—that is, for the sake of retaining a remission of your sins from day to day, that ye may walk guiltless before God—I would that ye should impart of your substance to the poor, every man according to that which he hath, such as feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and administering to their relief, both spiritually and temporally, according to their wants.
Wow and wow. Because of this scripture I understand that not only am I obligated to care for the poors' needs, but also their wants, and it humbles me to do so. I have a testimony of this!
and lastly I'll leave you with this: John 11:35 Jesus wept. Jesus is real with real feelings, human feelings that could not be held back seeing the pain in his friends and family. He wept and weeps still, with us and for us. He knows me, and He understand me when I too weep.
Today Im just loving the Music players on the blog!
Smee, thanks for your message. It was very timely for me :)
